Tri Delta is nationally aligned with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and raises more money than any sorority and fraternity in the world, carrying 25% of the total amount of all philanthropic works from all Greeks combined. When a child goes to St. Jude, everything from their food to their treatment is 100% covered by the hospital, and Tri Delta is proud to be St. Jude's largest donor towards making sure that no child or family ever has to worry about the cost of treatment. After we surpassed our goal of $15 million in 5 years for St. Jude, completing it in only 3.5, our new national pledge is to raise $60 million in 10 years, a goal that we have already halfway reached. Last year, our chapter was able to raise a little over $30,000 to donate directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Through quarterly events, fundraising campaigns, spreading awareness and even meeting patients and visiting the hospital in Tennessee, our chapter is incredibly proud to raise money and support for all the little girls and boys who get treated at St. Jude.
Hey everyone! My name is Kristen, and I am the Director of Philanthropy of Beta Upsilon Tri Delta. This philanthropy is beyond special to our chapter. Since our partnership in 1999, we have been able to raise $71 million for these amazing children. I knew that I had loved our involvement with St. Jude since I joined, but after being appointed as Director of Philanthropy, I knew I could do more. Each day, these children fight for their lives under circumstances I could never imagine going through, and with each step we take as a united chapter, we get closer to changing the life of a child for the better. I have met with patients and St. Jude workers and see the light in their eyes when they hear the name "Tri Delta". We are a beacon of hope to those truly in need of our support, and the generosity, kindness and love valued in our sisterhood is highlighted in each and every one of our members. St. Jude has shown me the importance of lending a hand no matter what I'm going through, because helping a child become cancer free is one of the best gifts someone can receive.
